Lately I’m wearing my hair up constantly because of the awkward length as I grow it all out. I can almost tuck my fringe behind my ear now but not quite – I still need a lot of hairspray to hold it down flat. I haphazardly tease and tuck the rest up in a bundle of bobby pins and then I’m out the door. It’s a great style really for the warmer weather we’re having more frequently.

There’s definitely an element of sophistication that an elegant pair of high heels brings to an outfit. I’d been dying to wear these sandals out but after months of relying on the support of ankle boots I was a little terrified how I’d go with a stiletto heel for the night. A few glasses of wine though and I didn’t feel my feet so much anymore.

You rarely see me wearing earrings much these days but with my hair up and a high neckline it just felt right. I made these as part of an assignment for uni and was pleasantly surprised with how well they turned out. There’s a matching ring and necklace that I hope to blog in greater detail soon.

So many great black accessories at ASOS at the moment… it was too hard to just pick one. If I had to though, a heartfelt shout out would go to the ASOS Warrior Biker Boots. They’re almost complete perfection.

jewellery › Baby Teeth

Recently a good friend got in touch with an idea for a commission to preserve a special moment in her sons’ lives; their first lost baby teeth. Once received, the teeth were moulded, cast in sterling silver, and brought back to life in the form of two simple, timeless charm necklaces. They are quite delicate given the tiny size of the teeth; and since they are for boys I decided to give them a rough oxidised finish to make make them less pretty and more gritty. Thanks to Lorena for the opportunity to create these special keepsakes; and for the permission to post the finished product.
