Miss Ghost And The Lonley Ocean

Miss Ghost is a 20-something Melbourne-based jewellery designer of award-winning jewellery label Drink Me Alice and owner of online accessories boutique Alegorie. Her blog, Sea Of Ghosts, is her self-indulgent chronicle of fashion, art, graphic design inspirations, and her personal style evolution.
It is clear from browsing through Sea Of Ghosts that Miss Ghost has a penchant for alternative aesthetics and dark whimsy. She finds extraordinary beauty in anatomy and the human form, quantum physics and the romance of the ocean. Often asked where her unusual blog title hails from – she confesses it actually has nothing to do with fashion, but is taken from musical inspirations, combining A Perfect Circle’s Mer De Noms (translation: Sea Of Names) and Nine Inch Nails’ Ghosts.

Some questions Miss Ghost gets asked regularly in her comments (and the answers)…
What camera do you use?
A Canon EOS 450D. But what I have realised since I bought my camera is that your body is not such a big deal, it’s really about what lens you use. I currently have two lenses: 17-85mm f4-5.6 IS, and a 50mm f1.8.
What nail polish is that?
Most of my polishes are by OPI. I mostly get asked about my white polish which is OPI’s Alpine Snow. The trick to a good white manicure is doing two coats (although I always do two coats anyway). The first one should be thinner, it’s your base – and the second should be thicker, for even coverage. A fast-drying top coat seals the deal. I am severely anal retentive about my manicures. Another polish on high rotating for me is China Glaze’s Recycle, which is a medium grey creme.
