Decay Rings as Pendants

I’ve long been enjoying how the Decay Rings stack together on the hand, and now so too on the décolletage. The mix of finishes across the three rings adds depth to an otherwise fairly simple design. Worn short or long, the Decay Rings as Pendants are a delight to wear and appeal to my minimalist jewellery leanings.

I’ve found with frequent wear the matte oxy finish on the black ring is wearing away (it was brass that had been plated); in future I’ll make all three rings sterling and oxidise them the old fashioned way to ensure the finishes more easily withstand daily wear.

Nebulous Ring

I’m really into heavily oxidising everything at the moment, this simple silver ring no exception. Named for it’s soft and shadowy form, the Nebulous Ring has light polish to the blackened surface revealing patches of bright silver shining through it’s moody, cloud-like surface.

Estrella Ring

This was one of my favourite creations to date – a little organic ring set with a single white stone, like a lone star in the sky; Estrella her name. It was perfect for layering against the Relic Ring or the Stellar Blanc Ring, but also looked elegant worn alone. Sadly Estrella was lost on a recent photo shoot. I was lucky to have photographed it before it vanished into the night.

Alicia Hannah Naomi for RUSSH

Several months ago (before I got more heavily involved in working with sterling silver) the lovely team at RUSSH commissioned a bespoke neck piece from me to feature in their New Faces photo shoot with photographer Stephen Ward. You can win this one-of-a-kind, custom made neck piece by visiting the RUSSH website and entering their Bespoke Jewellery competition. Good luck!

Recent Commissions

I’ve been honoured to receive some requests from readers and friends for custom jewellery pieces over the last few months. Sadly amidst the excitement of their creation I sent a few of them off before I thought to capture them with my lens, but here are two recent commissions that I’ve remembered to photograph before sending them on their way to their new owners.

Sterling silver textured thumb ring. The client liked the textured pieces I’d already posted such as the Relic Ring, but requested clean and straight edges on both sides of the band and a dark tone to the finish of the metal.

Sterling silver DOOM ring set. Modelled off the SONS rings from FX television show Sons Of Anarchy, I created these rings for the client using a CAD method to ensure the detailing on the lettering remained sharp and even. They were then finished by hand to get the rough, weathered texture and oxidised plate behind the text.
