I’ve hardly worn this beautiful pencil skirt I bought on impulse over a year ago during a Scanlan&Theodore sale. Pencil skirts typically make me feel uncomfortably corporate and even though this isn’t remotely corporate, every time I put it on I can feel that unease. Fitted throughout the backside and elegantly nipped at the waist I feel too dressed up, too done up. I put it on… I take it off. Rinse, repeat. But I love it and I believe I can condition myself into feeling comfortable in it. Teaming it with a plain cotton tank from Uniqlo and my worn-in Acne boots helps me feel more casual about it.

Now I’m heading out run errands, but later I’ll be meeting up with Nadia for a cocktail. She’s just texted me to inform me that she’s wearing the most beautiful Lover ensemble with glamorous red lips.

Suddenly I’m worried I’m actually underdressed.
