I was elated to have found two extra-large fingers of tibetan quartz recently whilst out buying stones for a custom ring order. Typically clear with black or greyish inclusions, tibetan quartz often sometimes exhibits an interesting dichroism. I set one immediately, wanting to concentrate on keeping the quartz the focus of the design since it was so large. As the stone is almost as long as my finger and fairly heavy, I gave it a double shank to keep it steady on the finger. This particular stone has inclusions that give off a rainbow luminescence in areas, and in certain light has the propensity to glow an unusual blueish tone I was unable to capture in these photographs.
The other quartz is waiting patiently, unset, for a new home. It will be available to order when the Alicia Hannah Naomi website launches shortly.
