6 Underground

Becoming X was one of those key albums of my youth. I don’t listen to much trip-hop these days, but whenever it pops up on my iTunes, serious nostalgia ensues. It’s funny how sometimes the memories from the past are what inspires your future.

Ahahha oh gosh this takes me back to my teenage years when I loved this album and wanted to be Angelina Jolie in Hackers. Excellent.

Kelli Ali, always and forever. You might dig this tune she did with Satoshi Tomiie? Nineties dance will always be my one true love.

Love it. I especially like Massive Attack (my favorite), Portishead and a couple of Morcheeba albums “Who Can You Trust” and “Big Calm”. When I discovered this music, I was exploring the Caribbean and sailing a lot, so it makes me think of those wonderful times at sea.

was not particularly into the album, especially not at the time, but am (hugely) with the subsequent corner-led works and early iamx.
