One Teaspoon

As previously alluded… I took a short trip last weekend to Sydney for both work and leisure. On the Friday night I headed into Surry Hills to the new One Teaspoon concept store where designer Jamie Blakely took a small group of style bloggers through the new AW11 collection. The event was meticulously organised, and the team made it a real pleasure to be their guest for the evening.

The concept store appears small at first glance, but is actually multi-level emporium meticulously adorned with plush velour couches, nautical details and gothic bones and skull embellishments. The different collections are spaced out in different rooms; current collection, basics, swim, denim, fashion favourites and the highly edited “library” of books and stunning vintage pieces.

The effort taken to curate and decorate the space is obvious from the first glance – highly conceptual, the luxurious space is both inviting and inspiring; unlike any high-street concept store I’ve ever visited. A highly recommended visit.

It was a really fun evening and one I was thrilled to be able to share with some amazing women I am honoured to consider close friends. Thank you so much to Hayley (who was there in spirit after dislocating her knee earlier that morning), Nadia and Lorena (pictured above with me) and the incredible Selena (who flew up especially to surprise me that night) for arranging and helping celebrate one of the best birthdays I’ve had to date.

I’ll be blogging more about the One Teaspoon AW11 collection very soon.

Did you hear any gossip about the possibility of a future Melbourne store?!

@ cottonsocks – I’m actually really embarrassed; I never even asked. I shot them a tweet… hopefully if you follow them you’ll get any gossip straight from the proverbial horses mouth! xo

What an amazing store. Has set the bar too high for all those opening their own store in the near future.
