Borcher

Established in 2008, BORCHER describes itself as a fairytale, where every detail is sensual and so too should the woman in Borcher feel. Designer Cristina Borcher cites fairytails and the revolving universe as her inspiration, citing it as very dark, dramatic, passionate and surreal.

Of her label, she says “Often, the scene of the 1800′s appear in my mind. Old cobblestones, sophisticated and mysterious women. Dark figures and unknown creatures that linger in the dark. Ravens, black pearls, feathers and the subconscious dark inspires me a great deal. I feel a craving for luxurious materials in my designs and therefore the exclusivity is number one priority regarding the creations.”

BORCHER‘s strict black palette and slick silhouettes coupled with origami like design features delivers a highly wearable yet visually captivating collection. Wishing to create wearable art in order to lend a dramatic element to fashion, Borcher says that her label is less a brand and more a sensory experience.

Um, eek? I can see the CLOTHES being a divine, sensuous experience, but the lookbook leaves me utterly cold.
