Enfants Perdus

Evolution is life. Stasis is death.

So says the website of Enfants Perdus, a men’s jewellery label by designer Quatre Tsien who splits his time between Toronto and New York. Tsien produces intricate, dark romantic pieces from 18ct gold and sterling silver studded with diamonds, pearls and quartz featuring skulls and orchids. His current collection, Miligram, is touted as the gothic exaltation of spirit, and the art nouveau glorification of life.

The workmanship on these is quite amazing. I think I’d like them better if they were minus the gold bits, but they are still totally boss.
The crystal wand things – earrings maybe? – are my favourite, I can definitely see them sitting on my dressing table and looking beautiful.

Finally, a company that makes awesome jewelry for men. None of those understated plain silver bands or anything. I really want one of those great heron skull rings.
