Lo Res Hi Fi

Apparently Lucinda alerted me to these shoes back in December, but for some reason I didn’t actually read her comment until the other night. At $250 for a pair of plastic shoes I’m seriously hesitant. Luckily for me the only two online stockists I can find are 1) Sold Out in my size and 2) Do not ship out of the US (which is disgusting in and of itself — this is two thousand and ten, people, get with it*).

But these are basically the coolest shoes I’ve ever seen.

*Thank you to everyone in the U.S. who has offered to help get these shoes to me. I’m actually kind of pleased I can’t buy them, so don’t tempt me!

These shoes rock, I kinda wish I hadn’t seen them as will now be thinking about the unobtainable shoes all weekend

Happy long weekend

wow there’s a lot of very interesting shoes on that site. I agree, $250 for plastic is a bit much.

Oh man, I waaaaaaaaaaaaaant them.

Should you feel the need to buy anything from the US, check out Price USA – I have had several things shipped through Carolina, and never a problem.

These are so contemporary art-lady it’s not funny.
Since I work in a museum, this means I obviously need them as well.

Thank you for bringing the urgent matter of faceted shoes to my attention.

These shoes remind me of modern architecture.

Love the way the light ‘shades’ itself according to the different diamond facets.

Brilliant.

I had the same issue myself. I’m always annoyed when companies refuse to ship outside their home country – FAIL! Even though I can’t own them, I’m still blown away.

I want these shoes! Even though they are plastic. I’ve actually never worn plastic shoes though – is it smelly and uncomfortable?

I first saw these on Doe Deere, fell in love with them and did a little post myself, called ‘Poetic Shoe’. If I was rich enough to laugh at spending that kind of money on plastic shoes I would get them in every colour.

I’m not convinced of their wearability though, I have this sneaking feeling that they would hurt.
