Drowning Behind The Scenes

Behind the scenes at the Drown look book shoot.

Drown

Drown – the new jewellery concept by Drink Me Alice.

I have been “secretly” working on this collection for the last six months. A total departure from previous work I’ve done, it’s a concept I feel really represents who I am as a designer, and one I’m very excited to finally share with you all. I hope all the design inspiration I’ve been posting suddenly has a context for Sea Of Ghosts readers.

The first collection, Nebula, features digital space print set in arrangements inspired by the geometric shapes found in chemistry, and the crystal and mineral formations found in nature. Nebula will be available for pre-order on Alegorie from April 1st. For more information visit DrownJewellery.com.

Subfusco

Brisbane label Subfusco dream up a dystopian future of a newly created species in their current FW 2010 collection, The Inhabitants. Designer Joshua Roberto Scacheri sought inspiration from the floors of human society and the evil undertones in which our nature can foster. Muted shades and metallic tones are an ode to the dark side of humanity and the use of unisex pieces is a reflection of how both species are somewhat the same in their short comings.
