Another new piece of jewellery by Austrian designer Thomas Sabo. I really wanted the crystal with the black zirconia encrusted raven perched on top, but at $700 (for just the pendant!) it was a little out of my world.

Why has he put a parrot clasp on the actual pendant? I guess it makes it easier to put on other chains but it kind of spoils the simple elegance of the straight crystal…

@ HarbourMaster – All TS pendants and charms come with parrot clasps so they are easily interchangeable with other items in the range. Generally the pendants are presented and marketed with two or more on a “carrier” which is the part that slips onto the necklace or bracelet. But I agree for a single pendant it doesn’t look so great! xo

Beautiful! I’ve admired that exact same one :) I’m currently saving up for some of his pieces. The raven one sounds divine – I’m obsessed with ravens, so romantic!
Are you into the healing properties of crystals? I am, being somewhat of a closet hippie ;) Anyways, you’ve just inspired me to go and put on a particular crystal bracelet right now! :)

I recall my father taking me to this place in Northcote, ages ago, which sold pendants and lots of other beautiful semi-precious stones like this – really have to pay it a visit again, if it’s still open! Very jealous of your new acquisition!
