Helmut Lang F2010 RTW

I know they’ve been getting around, but when you see the images from Lang’s Fall 2010 RTW collection it’s easy to see why, when asked on Formspring which clothing brand I would wear exclusively for the rest of my life, I chose Helmut Lang.

Sleek, elegant, ageless – but with attitude.

I’m completely and utterly in love.

@ cottonsocks – I couldn’t answer this question so I googled it – how embarrassing! I’ve only ever seen his pieces available online, but apparently he does have one stockist in Melbourne on Toorak Rd called Italy Direct. xo

uh, also not to mention the BEST LEATHER JACKETS ON THE PLANET? my office is half a block away from their flagship in NYC and it kills me. I think they’re going to start locking the door when I walk by because of how many times I’ve gone in and just touched things and tried them on and made terrible pouty girl faces at them and cried into my meagre bank account there. I’ve managed to get a few basic tees/drapey jersey tops from there though (surprisingly affordable??) and they’re hands down the best basics in my closet. Unf.

i think that incu in melbourne only stocks menswear.
not fair!
i feel like i have seen it around. not sure where though. and i haven’t been to italy direct before.
i could be just thinking of something else.
in the meantime i will dream over at shopbop.com !!
i want the skinny leather pants…
and every jacket you’ve posted above!

I couldn’t agree more. I looked back over my NY fashion week lookbook on style.com and half of it was from this show. It gave me that molten feeling in the pit of my stomach…

I understand why you chose him – from what I can tell from your photos and outfits, all these pieces would be perfect for your wardrobe. I love the jackets and coats – all amazing!!! Perfect fit!

A wise choice darling – the designer’s behind the label are really doing Mr. Lang’s empire justice.

I love the patterns used in this collection, and the stark black that they’re paired with. AMAZING!

I am frantically Googling the Menswear collection as I type this :P

Xx

I’m finding this fashion week that my favourite collections are those that are really cohesive…even a little repetitive. Helmut Lang definitely falls into this category… I would wear all of this.

I know that Husk in Carlton stock Helmut Lang, and i assume that the city and Toorak stores would too?
