Country Road AW10 Preview
Those who follow me on twitter will remember that Tuesday I visited my local Country Road store and was seriously impressed by the pieces in the new AW10 Preview collection. The new collection is said to be inspired by Parisian street chic. Highly coveted accessories already available include the over-the-knee suede boots, the tough studded clutch and the super-sized fringe scarf that are all great multi-taskers this season.
My pick from the new collection is the leather biker and the amazing lurex knit (pictured above), but would you expect me to choose anything else? The lurex knit also comes in grey/silver and has an amazing chain maille medieval armour vibe. Definitely the kind of look I’d expect to see on Jak&Jil – which makes it Parisian street chic through and through.

I love Country Road so much, I’m still finding it difficult to forget my lovely discount card from my days as a CR girl
I loved it too! so excited when I got my massive brochure. I’m all over the skinny pants with the zips… sound a bit off but I love them. And I was so into all the stuff in myer today in the cr section, 25% off tshirts, I had to restrain myself so much!! haha.

I loved the wet look jeans & the short ankle boots! I just received some birthday money & went yesterday but both were already sold out :S
I went into CR the other day and tried a bunch of stuff on.
Not sure what pieces I’ll go with yet. They seem to sell out of the smaller sizes so quickly. It’s really annoying how their sizing is wayyyyy oversized.
I have to decide soon before my spend and save finishes!
I found the armour style top to be a really weird cut. especially in the shoulder/arm area
I am loving the simplicity of the collection, and because winter finally feels like it’s getting closer YIPEE.
Love the knit, the jacket of course and the black skinny trousers.

I got the otk boots and the leather jacket. Not sure if I’m keeping the jacket though – the pricetag makes me feel super guilty.
the colour and light in these photos is beautiful, i wish i knew all the photography specs! and as for the clothes, i really like their subtlety & casual elegance. biker jackets – they’ve been around for ages, and i can’t decide whether it is an item i should look into or write off as a trend on its way out.

haha i saw these up on the website too and i rushed into my local CR (which is only a small store in outer suburbia) and gushed over the leather jacket and the SA told me they wouldn’t be in for a little while + it probably wouldn’t hit this particular store. then i felt embarrassed for being so super keen

I know, right? They have this INCREDIBLE silk & cashmere grey knit jumper – it is so soft, I can’t even describe it! Grey cashmere is my Achilles heel…I cannot resist it!
