I don’t know if that is onyx but it looks like it, and whatever is onyx, I love!

@ Maxine – Actually I think this is possibly black leather. It’s hard to be sure, but if you look carefully the insert has a significant grain and onyx is generally completely smooth. I can’t think of any opaque black stone with a grain like that.
