I Tried But I Gave Up

Still trying to get the hang of my DSLR, as I pigheadedly refuse to take it out of manual mode. Spent Halloween at a bar with old friends for a dual birthday. Wish I’d gotten some kind of accessory or prop to make my outfit more costumey, like a sparkly cat-eared headband à la Gail Sorronda for Target.

Did you dress up?

Black Satin Tank: Dotti
Black Wet Look Skirt: ASOS
Molar Necklace: Drink Me Alice
Black Key Necklace: Proverb from Alegorie
Silver Studded Bracelet: Cotton On
Silver Watch: Calvin Klein
Black Buckle Wedges (Not Pictured): Jeffrey Campbell

Oh absolutely love the outfit! And I think your photos are great! I particularly love the ‘over the shoulder’ look you’ve got going on… You’ve inspired me to try and be more photogenic in photographs… 8)

i love your makeup – what kind of liquid eyeliner do you use? :)

@ Amie – Thank you, I use MAC Liquid Eye Liner or Revlon Colourstay Liquid Eye Liner. I also like the new Max Factor one that looks a little like a marker, but the formula is a little more watery. x

Yay for white nail polish! I thought I was one of the only people on the planet who wore white nail polish – but you’re wearing it too! Isn’t it fabulous?! J’adore your black satin tank – it’s absolutely heavenly! :)

Gorgeous pics! What brand is the white nail polish? And what camera do you have? I’m want to get an SLR soon and am not really sure what to get yet!

Oh trent, i’m a bit obsessed with him. More than a bit. Sigh!
Did calling yourself “pigheaded” seem to lead into thoughts of NIN?
Love the key necklace btw. x

thanks for the tip on the eyeliner! i’ve always stuck with pencil types for fear of liquid kohl going into my eyes, will have to practise to get that lovely cat-eye flick you’ve got there ;)

Great ensemble Miss Ghost!

I wish I’d done something for haloween this year, but then I also really enjoyed just curling up into bed and sleeping after a hard-days thrifting :3
